Sounds exciting? I thought so too, so I clicked and bought the e-book. In the very first pages I was literally pull into Kennedy's struggle to stay alive, I felt like was soaking wet and being sucked under the water next to her. From the very beginning the action took off, leaving me annoyed when I had to break away from my computer to do little things, like, oh, eat! No, I'm not going to tell you what happens other than Kennedy and Ethan cross paths and sizzling sparks of attraction ignite between them. I finished reading this romantic suspense in one day--that doesn't happen a lot for me.

Ribbon of Darkness edition by Julie Coulter Bellon Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Julie continues to take me on adventures to far-off lands where I’ve never been and will probably never go! Every one of her books whisks me away to some dangerous and exotic location to help save the world! Ribbon of Darkness was a nail-biter from start to finish. It never let up from the tension and danger that surrounds the two main characters, Ethan and Kennedy. The story never really let on what Ethan’s real ‘job’ was, nor did it explain his complicated past and how he got to this odd stage in his life where he ignores the advice of the man who seems to be his boss and walks straight into danger in a third-world country in order to avenge his father’s death. Maybe I need to re-read the first couple of chapters in order to more fully understand him. That happens to me sometimes; I get so caught up in the story that I miss certain important tidbits of character development. Luckily, this book was good enough that I would be willing to read it again just because I liked it so well. Kennedy was developed much more clearly in my opinion and Julie explained quite well why Kennedy feels compelled to live amongst refugees in Afghanistan to share their story with the world. She’s a strong, stubborn woman who won’t allow men to see her vulnerability even when her situation seems hopeless. The story is a bit predictable, but most stories are. It takes a really big plot twist to throw me off. I love Julie’s writing style and her ability to draw me in to a story in such a way that I want to rush home from work to read some more. I would have given this great terrorist mystery/suspense a five if it had been copy edited better. The typos are pretty bad. The story is gripping.
Clean reading and great thought out book really enjoy this author
I enjoyed this book and look forward to more stories from Julie Coulter Bellon. She seems to be very thorough with details that make her stories richer.
Ribbon of Darkness by Julie Coulter Bellon is a fast moving international thriller involving terrorists, pirates, bombs and a promise of romance.
The action never stops, jumping from one crisis to the next smoothly. I loved that Kennedy was a strong independent woman, and didn't cower in a corner waiting for Ethan to protect her.
Once I started reading I didn't want to put Ribbon of Darkness down.
There were some editing errors in the beginning that were a little distracting, but the story and the action helped overcome those.
I would recommend this to anyone, LDS and Non LDS who like adventure and action.
Once again, Julie Bellon, whisks us away to exotic locations in the midst of terrorist threats that become personal to two very-likable characters. Ethan (who we've seen as a secondary character in Bellon's previous book) shows his handsome face again as the hero of "Ribbon of Darkness." This time we see inside the man, to his strength of character, the demons that haunt him, and what drives him forward. When he meets the heroine of the story (Kennedy), the sparks fly and the tension mounts.
Kennedy is a strong-willed heroine haunted by past tragedy who teams up with Ethan to save the world. Personally, I love strong heroines who don't sit around waiting for men to save them, and that's what I love about Kennedy. She's out there on the front lines making things happen, yet knows how to bring out the best in the men around her. Kudos to Bellon for another winner!
